Beatnik runs regular nights at The Macbeth in Hoxton, Surya (Kings Cross) and Leon restaurant (Spitalfields), featuring:
- a free rooftop BBQ
- short films
- finger puppet-making
- hula-hooping
- vintage DJ-ing
- open mic for songwriters, spoken word, comedy & dance
- fine acoustic music from major labels and local artists
Folk, Blue Grass, touch of Country, Anti-Folk, occasionally Jazzy, certainly acoustic; check the most recent event for featured artists.
Art installations, jewellery makers, games, cakes and video projection all make an appearance too…
Beatnik embraces a D.I.Y culture and welcoming attitude; the ethos is simply to provide our artists and audience with the best possible environment to enjoy themselves.
